We got up pretty early considering we went to bed so late, but we were going to meet Chris to do some souvenir shopping. We checked out of our hotel and stored our bags. The guy at the front desk told us about this market that would have good souvenirs, so we headed out to that.

The market was awesome, good prices and tons of variety. We were done in about 30 minutes.

So, then we decided to walk around Sydney to the Harbour. Keep in mind, we were on the opposite side of the city. I was glad to be getting some exercise before the plan rides.

The walk turned out to be really fun and we saw some cool things close up, such as the Parliament House, Hyde Park, the museum of crime and justice. We didnt go in any of the buildings, but the architecture was pretty just to look at.

We ate lunches at the harbour at an outside caf and then made our way back to the hotel. We got a taxi and then had to go to the airport. Tony ended up being on our flight because his flight was delayed by 10 hours. We gossiped for a while with him and then got on the plane.

Our flight wasnt bad. When we got to Dallas, we heard about the space shuttle exploding very very sad for our homecoming. The weather is supposed to be in the 50s in Kansas City, so it wont be as bad of a shock.

The trip was an experience of a lifetime. I want to keep reliving it. Its hard to believe its finished already.

Just one short month ago we left, ready to embark on an adventure of exploring and meeting new people and living in a new culture. Now, were headed back to where we started from with memories that will always stay with us, stories that will always make us smile and friendships that will always have a special place in our hearts.
